Frascati

Between the gorges cut by two streams crossed by the aqueduct of the Aqua Claudia, Gallicano extends over a plateau between two high verdant valleys of great environmental importance. The town was founded by Saint Gallicanus, martyred in Alexandria, and the medieval village dates back to the 10th century. The town centre has the church of San Rocco and the baronial palace, and it is made particularly picturesque numerous alleys leading off the main road. Various excursions can be made in the area, such as the “itinerary of ancient Roman aqueducts” or take a trek to the Castle of Passerano.
